Wiring Primer

There are several parts to this primer:

At the heart of this primer is a concept known as the "star" confguration. This is a configuration where a service is distrubuted to all nodes from a central point. There are other kinds of configurations, but they suck.

The central point of our star is the "wiring closet". This is where you locate the equipment needed to distribute all your services. Wires lead from the closet to each jack.
